Meho Plaza
Meho Plaza is a band from Los Angeles. Formed in late 2003, Meho Plaza began with the intention of making loud noise, playing the occasional show and perhaps releasing an EP or two. In 2006 Pitchforkmedia.com included Meho Plaza song "The Beach" in its infinite mixtape series (#005) as "one of the very best of our favorite new tracks". The band recently completed a full length record at The Hobby Shop in Highland Park, CA. set to be released on Grey Rock / Better Looking Records in February 2008.
Ravens & Chimes
Formed in New York in the spring of 2005 Ravens & Chimes started as a group of school friends who got together to record two songs written by singer and guitarist Asher Lack. Originally figuring they would break up after recording plans changed when CMJ heard the demos (Originally called Lost at Sea) and invited them to play their festival. The band played a few more shows, lost and gained members, and in the spring (less than a year after the recording) Asher passed a demo to a friend of his at a party which landed them a recording contract with Grey Rock / Better Looking Records.
